Radio Show: Dad fought for his daughters and won

By: Laura Reichel

A good father’s instinct is to protect his children and act in their best interests. This victory celebrates a father who took these responsibilities seriously when his two daughters, ages twelve and eight, were taken from him and his home to an unknown location without his knowledge or consent.

Chicago matrimonial attorney and Litigation Director Arthur Kallow of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this important case on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CST Saturday, November 16th on Power 92.3 FM. This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour Spotify page on dadsrights.com

Dad and the mother lived together in the same home with his two daughters. Suddenly and without any notice, the mother left the house while dad was away and took the children with her to an unknown location in another state. She disenrolled the children from their current school and disappeared. The mother removed the children from the only home they had ever known. This severely impacted and nearly destroyed the little girls’ relationship with their dad.

Desperate and scared, dad contacted the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. immediately for help. The Leving legal team not only located where the children were, but they also fought in court to reunite dad with his daughters.

The Leving legal team fiercely litigated dad’s emergency motion to have his little girls returned to him and won for them. They argued to the court that taking the girls from their father would have devastating consequences on the children’s mental, emotional, and physical health. It would also damage the children’s relationship with their father, whom they loved. The court agreed with the Leving legal team’s arguments and ordered that the children be returned to their father immediately, re-enrolled in their previous school, and that the mother could not take the children out of dad’s residence or their schools ever again or face jail time.

This was a sweeping victory for dad and his daughters, modified for broadcast, that protected their loving relationship. The girls were returned to their home with their caring father, preserving their bond, and to ensure that the daughters would not be separated from their home and friends ever again. Failure was not an option for both the Leving legal team, and this dedicated father.

Attorney and Litigation Director Arthur S. Kallow

Attorney Arthur S. Kallow was honored for his valuable contribution to the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County as a court facilitator. He is the recipient of the 2024 International Abduction Prevention Award.
