Orland Township seeking Income Tax Assistance volunteers to help Seniors
Make a difference by assisting local senior residents with filing simple tax returns.
Looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors right in your own community?
Orland Township is recruiting volunteers to assist local senior residents with filing simple tax returns online.
If you are looking for an opportunity to help older adults in your community, the Township hopes that you will join them.
Volunteers need not have any formal training in accounting.
All that is required is familiarity with the elements of an individual tax return, computer literacy, and the desire to support friends and neighbors in need of some assistance.

Orland Township volunteers will be responsible for guiding these individuals through the necessary steps. You will help older taxpayers feel welcome and ease the stress of tax season for low-income people who are 50-plus. Experience is not necessary; The Township will provide necessary training and IRS certification for volunteers. Contact (708) 403-4222 for more information.
