Milwaukee County Executive Abele and Milwaukee County Parks announce new concessions

The Dock will operate food and beverage options at Bradford Beach

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Milwaukee County Parks today announced a new food and beverage partnership at Bradford Beach this summer with CCH Management LLC (The Dock). Pending approval from the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, The Dock will operate the food and beverage concessions at Bradford Beach, inclusive of the beach tiki huts and special events.

“Residents and tourists that come to Milwaukee County beaches will have a variety of options to dine and drink along the water this summer,” said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. “The Dock partnership at Bradford Beach will bring even more visitors and economic impact to the community, and I look forward to seeing what great options are in store for us this summer.”

The menu at the Dock Bradford Beach is expected to include: tempura fish tacos, yellowfin tuna steak and grass-fed burgers, as well as a kids menu. The Dock will also sell beer, wine and cocktails.

Milwaukee County Parks will enter into a five-year contract agreement with The Dock, with three options to extend the term for an additional year. The Dock also currently operates a beachside restaurant at Montrose Beach in Chicago.

The partnership will include a profit-sharing agreement as well as the establishment of a Parks Improvement Fund that will be used to maintain and enhance the Bradford pavilion and beach. Enhancements proposed for 2019 and 2020 include additional seating, bar deck extensions, live music and European beer garden style shade umbrellas.

The Dock will be joined at Bradford Beach by Volley Life, who will organize volleyball leagues and tournaments at Bradford Beach.

A new vendor agreement will also be soon announced for the operation of the Northpoint Custard Stand.

Milwaukee County Parks is an amazing network of trails, parks, historic attractions, golf courses, beaches, beer gardens & nature. The ’emerald necklace’ of parkland that wraps around the county includes 140 miles of trails, 157 parks and parkways, 15 golf courses, hundreds of playgrounds, athletic fields, and picnic sites, as well as the Mitchell Parks Domes and Boerner Botanical Gardens.
