Today is Erika Harold’s grandma Louise’s 97th birthday. To celebrate, Erika’s campaign for Attorney General is launching a new digital ad titled “Grandma,” highlighting the values Louise taught Erika.
Throughout her life, Louise has endured both the Great Depression and Jim Crow laws. She faced adversity for many decades, which is why she taught Erika the values of fairness and equal justice under the law.

Louise: I always tell people, Erika Harold is a weed just like her grandmother.
Erika: That’s actually a compliment. Try to keep us down…
Louise: …And we only get stronger.
Erika: 97 years strong. She survived the Depression, Jim Crow.
Louise: I don’t take my vote for granted.
Erika: She taught me about justice, that fair and equal applies to everyone, even politicians.
Louise: And don’t you forget it.
Erika: I’ll make you proud, grandma.
Louise: You always have.
