CUB to host meeting in Palos Township to help consumers save money

Palos Township will be hosting a Citizens Utility Board (CUB) event on May 30, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

A free mini breakfast with coffee, juice and donuts will be offered to attendees, donated by Palos Township Trustee Sharon Branigan.

Branigan, who has been a consistent and strong voice against the repeated tax increase proposals pushed unsuccessfully, so far, by Cook County’s Board President Toni Preckwinkle, reminded attendees to bring current copies of their electric and phone bills.

“One of my priorities as a member of the Palos Township board is to find ways to help taxpayers in our community save money,” said Brannigan, who was first elected to the Palos Township board in 2013 with the second highest trustee vote total.

“I think the Palos Township board has worked hard to provide the best and highest quality services to our residents.”

CUB experts at the Palos Township meeting will sit down with each attendee and review ways save money as well as discuss ways to avoid scams.

For more information on the CUB meeting in Palos Township, or other Palos Township services, you can contact any member of the board or contact Sharon Brannigan by email at:
