Cicero officials, businesses and residents raise money for hurricane relief

Cicero Town Dominick, Town of Cicero Board, and the Disaster Relief Committee members, expressed their gratitude to local businesses, schools, churches, and the residents of the Town of Cicero who supported the Puerto Rico and Mexico Disaster Relief Fundraiser Event that held November 17 and 18th at the Cicero Community Center.

Cicero Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias said that the event raised $4,191 but noted that money was also raised by School District 201 and School District 99.

Among the contributors were Cicero Furniture, El Pescadon, Tortilleria Chepes, Tortileria El Rey, Morton East High School staff and students, Mas Enterprises, Sinfonia del Mar, District 99 staff and students, Morton College, Clergy members, Parishioners/Pastors of Vida Abundante, Parent Patrol, town employees, Cicero Outreach, and special thanks to all the honorary committee members, Ismael Vargas, Office of Special Events Jeff Pesek, Patricia Dominick, Maru Ayala, Finance department staff, and our friends at Poder 97.5 FM, WGN, Channel 7, Telemundo and many of our local newspapers for your coverage and support!
