Breaking News: Man killed in Bridgeview Friday morning
Friday 2:30 pm, Oct. 13, 2017 — Around 5:30 am on Friday Oct. 13, 2017, Bridgeview Police received calls of multiple shots fired in the area of the 8500 block of Thomas Avenue in Bridgeview, Illinois.
On arriving at the scene, Bridgeview Police found a 55-year-old male subject on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The male victim was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Jerzy Milewski.
Bridgeview police have an individual they are interviewing as a part of the investigation. The individual is being cooperative and the shooting is under active investigation. The South Suburban Major Crime Task Force is working with Bridgeview Police.
Bridgeview Police want to emphasize that they believe there is no existing threat to the community or to residents in the area.
No charges have been filed.
