Leving Saved Father-Daughter Bond from Being Torn Apart

No father should ever fear losing his child forever. Unfortunately for one Illinois dad, that fear became a reality.

Dad was horrified to learn that the mother of his ten-year-old daughter petitioned the court for an Order of Protection against him, accusing him of abuse, harassment and so much more.

He feared that the Order of Protection could permanently damage his relationship with his daughter and endanger his liberty. Dad turned to attorney Jeffery Leving for help.

Dad’s nightmare began after the mother of his child petitioned for an Order of Protection against him. The little girl’s mother accused dad of abusing and harassing the mother and much more. Even worse, the mother included the little girl as a protected party in the petition. These allegations threatened dad’s future with his daughter and his freedom, as violating an Order of Protection is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail in Illinois. If dad attempted to even contact his daughter, he could have lost his child, his freedom, and his future.

Desperate, dad called attorney Leving, who assured dad that the Leving litigation team would fight for him.

After a tough battle in court, the Leving team won. The judge awarded dad overnight parenting time with his daughter, protected dad’s ability to remain in his daughter’s life, and there’s no Order of Protection in effect putting dad’s liberty at risk.
