Dad’s victory protected son’s academic future

A concerned father found himself in a stressful situation after he discovered that his ex didn’t enroll their son back in school.
Worried about his son’s future, dad called the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. for help.
They fought for dad and his son and won, ensuring that the young boy will be able to continue his education back in school without interference.

Dad’s twelve-year-old son lived with his ex and had always attended the local public school in the suburbs. However, Dad became frantic when, according to court records, he discovered that his son’s mother had not enrolled him back in school and would not. With the mother refusing to discuss the situation, dad was left feeling helpless and deeply concerned about his son’s future.
Dad did not approve of mom’s decision, but in the absence of a court order detailing parental decision making authority for him, he feared he couldn’t do anything. He immediately called attorney Leving for help. Attorney Leving assured dad that the Leving legal team would fight for them.
Upon taking the case, the Leving legal team quickly filed a detailed petition, outlining the young boy’s consistent attendance at the local public school and his desire to continue his education there. The Leving team emphasized that returning to school was in the child’s best interest and asked the court to order the mother to cooperate, enroll the young boy back in school, and facilitate his attendance.
The mother fought against sending the young boy back to school. However, the Leving legal team’s strong, well-crafted petition proved decisive and just before the scheduled hearing, the mother finally agreed to enroll the child back into school. The judge then approved and issued a court order to that effect, marking a significant victory for dad and his teenaged son. This is a great victory, modified for publication, that highlights the importance of fathers being involved in their children’s education, especially for divorced or never-married dads who have limited access with their own children.
Attorney Arthur S. Kallow was honored for his valuable contribution to the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County as a court facilitator.
Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States, in recognition of his 7,500 hours of service to this great Nation. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
