Leving Reunited Dad with Baby Boy After Mother Tried to Flee the Country

The Leving litigation team was victorious in court reuniting a distraught father with his baby boy after the mother reportedly hid the child from dad and tried to flee the country.

According to dad, he was getting his son ready for bed when the mother began screaming at him in front of the child. It was further reported that she threatened to move with the baby to India and call the police and accuse dad of hitting her.
Even more alarming, she did just that – she called the police! The police arrived, investigated the situation, and reportedly did not find any of the mother’s claims to be credible. But after the officers left, the mother allegedly called again and claimed that dad had tried to kill her with a knife! The police returned, investigated once again, and once again found no basis for the allegation. They warned the mother to stop making false claims, or she could go to jail.
The next day, dad reported that he returned home from work and discovered that the mother had run away with his son. Fearing that she had already fled out of the country with his son, dad turned to attorney Jeffery Leving for the immediate legal help he desperately and urgently needed.
The Leving team quickly designed an aggressive strategy to reunite dad with his baby boy and prevent the mother from taking him away from his father. They quickly located the mother who was still in the country and who they believed was hiding the child in a shelter.
The Leving team immediately went to court and passionately argued before the judge that the little boy’s safety was at risk and the child needed to be immediately returned to his father. They won. The judge granted dad an Emergency Order requiring the mother to return the little boy to his father, ordering the mother to not remove the child from the country, requiring her to surrender her passport, and denying her any visitation at all.
However, dad’s nightmare was not over. The mother reportedly refused to comply with the court order and did not turn over the little boy. At the Leving team’s direction, local police went to the shelter to enforce the court order, but the shelter allegedly refused to allow officers inside to recover dad’s son. The Leving legal team immediately filed another emergency motion seeking enforcement of the court’s order and requiring the shelter’s attorney to explain why the order was not being followed. The mother and the shelter’s attorney ultimately appeared in court. The judge again ordered the mother to surrender her passport and return the child to his father. After court, this father was finally reunited with his baby boy right outside the courtroom.
This court victory modified for publication is a powerful reminder that when a father is facing the unimaginable loss of his child, immediate action can make all the difference. Thanks to the Leving team’s quick and dynamic legal action, the mother was stopped before she was able to flee the country with dad’s little boy, who will now be able to grow up under his father’s loving roof and protection.
