6th Congressional District Candidate Grasso Hits Airwaves with  “Family First” Commercial

Candidate for the 6th Congressional District and Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso released his first campaign commercial introducing himself and his “family first” values.  The spot will air on both digital channels and cable zones within the 6th Congressional District.

“The spot highlights the values taught to me by my parents, and the values from my marriage to Janet for 43 years,” explained Grasso.

“We have taken those values and passed them along to our children and in turn, our six grandchildren. I believe the voters need a congressman who understands and lives by the true principles of family values.”

The transcript of the “Family First” commercial is as follows:

“My parents taught me family first, freedom always, and pursue the American dream by working hard and using your God given talents.

My wife, Janet and I, have passed these lessons on to our six children.

We are proud that they are teaching these lessons to their children.

As your Congressman, I will take these values to Washington.

I’m Gary Grasso, I approve this message because Washington has forgotten these values.”

About Gary Grasso – Candidate for Congress, (New IL 6th District– Southwestern Cook, Southeastern DuPage Counties).  Gary has a long history of public service in DuPage and Cook Counties serving two tenures as Mayor of Burr Ridge (2005-12; 2019-present) where he led construction of the Village Center, Police facility and Veterans Memorial.

Gary served two terms on the DuPage County Board (2012-18) where he served on the Heroin Coalition Committee and sought to consolidate government services.  He spent four years as Chairman of DuPage’s 911- Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) where he led the effort to build two state-of-the-art call centers.  These call centers cover all of DuPage and give first responders the best chance to have good outcomes when residents call 911.

Gary also served twelve years on the DuPage County Board of Health which gave him invaluable experience to deal with the many health and pandemic issues that continually seem to face us today.

Gary was the first in his family to attend college and graduated from Georgetown University and earned a law degree from Fordham Law School.  He is a successful and respected litigator.

Gary and his wife Janet have been married over four decades and raised six children.
