Bill Conway slams Kim Foxx in new TV Commercial
New Ad from Afghanistan War veteran and Democratic candidate for Cook County State’s Attorney Bill Conway slams incumbent Kim Foxx for not fighting for the rights of victims of crime while defending the rights of hoaxers like Jussie Smollett. The Democratic Primary election is March 17, 2020
Bill Conway, who is challenging the beleaguered Kim Foxx for the Democratic Party nomination for Cook County States Attorney delivers a political gut punch to Foxx in his latest commercial.
Conway is hoping to unseat Foxx who has been criticized for unprofessional conduct and using her office to favor friends and political allies who have been accused of crimes, such as failed TV star Jussie Smollett who is alleged to have falsely claimed he was attacked by racists and homophobes in an effort to boost public sympathy to help his sagging career.
The former chief of staff to former First Lady Michaelle Obama was among those who called Foxx to lobby her to go easy on Smollett. Foxx dropped charges against Smollett even though Chicago Police evidence clearly shows he orchestrated the hoax to boost his sagging TV career on the TV show Empire.
Conway, who has proposed a wide range of anti-crime issues, is a former military veteran who served this country and put his life not he line. Unlike Foxx who is a patronage hack who worked for county officials before being anointed to the States Attorney’s Office.
The Campaign focuses on the case of Candace Clark, an African American woman whose case was ignored by Foxx. Clark, who is African American, sends a powerful message that Foxx is not fighting for the rights of the underdogs or those in need, but rather has championed the special interests and the powerful elite who have friends in higher office.

“Unlike Jussie Smollett, my client didn’t get special treatment from Kim Foxx. I’m running for State’s Attorney because everyone deserves fairness, justice, and equality — regardless of race, neighborhood, income level, or who they know …”

According to media reports, Conway joined the Naval Reserve as an intelligence officer in May 2012, he said, spending some time on assignments in Britain before his first extended overseas deployment in Qatar. Conway was activated in July 2017 and returned home in April 2018, he said in an interview Wednesday, giving more context to his ad and his record of military service. Conway led an Afghanistan intelligence team tracking Taliban and Islamic State threats.
