Lyons has the blues again
Windy City Blues Fest set for Sept. 6-8

Lyons once again has the blues.
The Windy City Blues Fest, which proved very popular in Cermak Woods last September, is returning.
On the web site www.windycitybluesfest.org, there is a listing of entertainers for the second annual event.
This year, it will held Sept. 6-8. That is two weeks earlier than the 2018 festival, which experienced some unseasonably cold weather on Friday and Saturday nights.
The web site said there will be more than 40 acts on two stages. A weekend pass will cost $25 and parking is $5 per day. Daily tickets will be sold, too.

Friday’s headliners are Amanda Fish, followed by Brandon Santini and Jeff Jenson.
The Original Delta Fireballs featuring Geneva Red will play Saturday. Lurrie Bell returns. And, so does Tamiko Dixon and The Original Chicago Blues All-Star Band. Dixon is the granddaughter of blues legend Willie Dixon.
Saturday night again features an appearance by Carbondale legend Tawl Paul and The Dead Or Alives. He had a big turnout last year.
Sunday will feature Ivy Ford and the Ben Miller Band, along with the Chicago Blues Challenge.
