Leving Team Gained Victory for Dad and Gave a Little Girl the Gift of a Lifetime – Her Father
By Laura Reichel
A devoted father was reunited with his daughter just in time to celebrate her twelfth birthday together. Dad had been embroiled in a bitter and complicated divorce which the Leving legal team ultimately resolved.
During the divorce, dad’s wife accused him of being physically aggressive and unable to control his anger, which he adamantly denied.
But, dad didn’t give up hope, the Leving legal team fought for him and won.
The court granted dad parenting time, and he didn’t lose his daughter and she also didn’t lose him.
It was reported that dad’s wife denied him his parenting time trying to cut him out of his daughter’s life. Furthermore, she alleged dad had violated the terms of his own court ordered parenting time.
Dad was distraught because his daughter’s twelfth birthday was approaching and he had planned a trip with her to reunite and celebrate, but he feared his wife would not allow it, going as far as obtaining an Order of Protection against him – claiming he was a danger to his own daughter. A violation of an Order of Protection is punishable by up to one year in jail.
Chicago based matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., will talk about this important court victory on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, May 9thon Power 92.3 FM. When dad called attorney Jeffery Leving for help, he had not seen his daughter for much too long a time. The Leving legal team immediately prepared to go to court to fight for dad. The clock was ticking, and his daughter’s birthday was just a few days away. They developed a tough legal strategy to obtain an emergency court hearing to vacate the Order of Protection and regain dad’s parenting time. They won.
Thanks to the hard fought work of the Leving legal team – which battled against a strongly resisting adverse party – the Leving legal team secured a court order removing the Order of Protection, reinstating dad’s parenting time, and ordering the opposing party to allow dad to see his daughter, all on the day before dad and his daughter were scheduled to hopefully reunite and depart for the birthday trip. After not seeing his daughter for a very long time, dad’s regular parenting time was restored, and he was able to be with his daughter and take her on a wonderful trip to celebrate his little girl’s twelfth birthday.
This was a powerful victory modified for publication for this dedicated dad who loves his daughter very much. The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. won for dad and his daughter, and dad’s right to parenting time is now restored and secured. For this father and his daughter, this outcome represented far more than a courtroom victory—it marked the restoration of an vital bond, safeguarded a daughter’s relationship with her father, and affirmed the idea that perseverance and justice can prevail even in the most difficult circumstances.
