Segment 1:

1 – President Donald Trump gets backlash from his own Republican party/MAGA supporters after brushing aside resolving details of the Jeffrey Epstein case; We also discuss the open rebellion by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and about six other Republicans over excessive budget spending on foreign countries. the group led by MTG forced Trump to reverse course on the Epstein controversy that he tried to shut down and pushed hard but failed to block the giving of billions in foreign aid.

Bill Lipinski reads his latest column, “Right from the Middle,” which this week addressing the isswue of “Faith.” Lipinski talks about how Americans turned to faith and religion during the 19840s and 1950s, during and after World War II, but have since turned away today.

Hanania and Lipinski discuss the column during the segment.

Segment 2:

1 – Lipinski and Hanania discuss the challenges facing Israel’s right-wing and controversial Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with his ruling coalition, as the religious party is threatening to quit. The religious coalitions are upset over what they perceive as the plans to pass a new law in Israel to require religious Orthodox Jewish citizens to serve in the Israeli military. And, they also discuss Netanyahu’s latest war that he launched in Syria.

Hanania discusses his most recent column detailing why he supports the candidacy of Congresswoman Robin Kelly to succeed retiring Senator Dick Durbin over Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton and Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi. We also discuss the leading Republican candidate, Darin LaHood of Peoria.

Hanania and Lipinski also discuss Durbin’s conversion from a hardline conservative congressman to a moderate U.S. Senator.

Durbin was critical in removing Paul Findley from Congress. Findley was the leading voice demanding an investigation into the Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty naval vessel, which was attacked unprovoked by Israel on June 8, 1967.

The Israelis murdered 34 American servicemen on the ship and injured 173 more Americans. To protect Israel, the Nixon administration did everything it could to prevent a detailed investigation into Israel’s violence that killed American servicemen.
