Dad secured important court victory, keeping sons safe at home

A devoted, single father raising his three young boys called attorney Jeffery Leving for help, ensuring his children’s safety and stability at home.
The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. fought for them and won, securing a court victory protecting the children from having their safety and stability ripped apart from their home.

The children have thrived in their father’s stable, loving home. Yet, according to court documents, their mother would without warning arrive from out of state, unexpectedly take the boys, and disappear for periods of time. Not only did this interfere with the children’s schooling, but it also left dad frantic about his children’s safety and well-being. Dad even went as far as to call the police, hoping to prevent the mother from taking the children without his permission, to no avail.
While dad was never against the boys seeing and spending time with their mother, he wanted the visits to be orderly and scheduled, not disruptive and stressful.
Desperate to protect his children, dad wisely called the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. Attorney Leving assured dad that his team understood his problem and fought for him and his children.
The Leving legal team presented to the court clear evidence that the boys had built happy, secure lives with their father over the years. They asked the judge to grant dad the majority of parenting time and detail with specificity when and where the mother could take the children. They won. The judge issued the order, providing the structure and protection dad’s children desperately needed.
Thanks to this significant victory, modified for publication, this loving and dedicated father brought stability to his home, allowing him to continue to successfully raise his three boys. The children are still able to see their mother – but on a regular schedule without their lives, schooling, and other activities being upended. Anyone who has been a single parent, or knows one, likely understands just how crucial this kind of stability is for a family.
Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States in recognition of 7,500 hours of service to this nation. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
