Leving team’s court victory protected dad’s daughters from reported danger

By: Laura Reichel

A desperate father, who hadn’t seen his young daughters for far too long, feared for their safety and called attorney Jeffery Leving for help in protecting them from danger.

The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. fought to protect dad’s little girls and for this father’s right to be with his children.

After a hard-fought court battle, the Leving legal team won and brought the girls back to their father and the safety of his home.

Chicago matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this important case and more on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, June 14th on Power 92.3 FM.

Dad and the mother lived together with their two daughters, ages seven and ten, until the mother reportedly left to live with her new boyfriend. She took the little girls with her and refused to let dad see them. Fearing he would not be able to protect his daughters and never see them again, dad reached out to attorney Leving for help.

The judge appointed a guardian ad litem (GAL) to investigate the situation. The GAL reported to the court that the mother’s boyfriend kept a pistol with live ammunition in his home, within easy reach of the children. Furthermore, the boyfriend ‘s home was home to many aggressive dogs, one of which had already attacked and injured one of dad’s little girls.

In contrast, dad had always been the girls’ primary caretaker and had provided them with a stable, loving home.

Thanks to the fearless advocacy of the Leving team, who battled against a resisting and difficult adverse party and fought against counter claims, the judge granted dad primary residential placement, and the girls went back to living with their father.

This is a tremendous victory, modified for publication, that protected two little girls from a potentially dangerous living situation. Dad was reunited with his daughters and can rest easy knowing that his children are safe at home.

Father’s Day is this Sunday. Don’t forget to tune in to WGN TV Ch. 9 at 3 PM CDT this Sunday to see the special on Pope Leo XIV, sponsored by the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd.

On a final note, this upcoming Thursday is Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in 1865 and a very important date in American history. You can check out OurBlackHeritage.com, a website attorney Leving created that features historical photos and important articles about African American history, especially in Chicago.

Attorney Jeffery Leving will be a guest speaker at the 5th Annual Bronzeville Juneteenth Celebration on June 14th, which is proudly being co-hosted by the Fatherhood Educational Institute (FEI), a 501c3 charity dedicated to helping fathers and their children.

Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States in recognition of 7,500 hours of service to this Nation. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
