Registration opens May 9 for Orland Fire Kids Camp and Jr Cadet Programs
Registration will open on May 9 for two programs designed to help young children and teenagers learn about the role of Fire Fights.
The two programs include the Kids Fire and Life Safety Camp, where children aged 8 to 12 years old learn procedures and warning signs on how to deal with fires and fire safety.
The second program, the Junior Cadet Academy is for teenagers aged 13 to 17 who are instructed on the life of a firefighter, their equipment and careers.
Both programs are Free. They are very popular and fill up quickly so registration on May 9 is encouraged. The programs are only for residents of the Orland Fire Protection District can participate.
The Kids Fire and Life Safety Camp will be held on June 25, 2025 from 9 AM to 2:30 PM at the Orland Fire Training Center, 10728 W. 163rd Place.
The Junior Cadet Academy will be held on June 26, 2025 also at the Orland Fire Training Center at 10728 W. 163rd Place, from 9 AM until 2:30 PM.
