Dad wins custody of child after defending false child abuse allegations
By: Laura Reichel
There are few feelings more painful in the world for a father than being falsely accused of abusing his own child – but that is indeed what happened to this loving dad.
Chicago matrimonial attorney and Litigation Director Arthur Kallow of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this important case on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CST Saturday, December 7th on Power 92.3 FM. This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour Spotify page on dadsrights.com
Dad had shared parenting time of his ten-year-old boy, but the mother began acting strangely. According to court documents, she refused to bring the child to exchanges and reported to DCFS that the father had beaten the child.
You can imagine the father’s state of mind while this was going on. Words can’t even describe it, but stunned, devastated, incensed, and scared are several that come near. Dad had a close, loving relationship with his son, and he didn’t want to lose it over this groundless nonsense.
The terrified father immediately called the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. for help, and the Leving legal team assured dad that they would fight for him and his child and did.
The Leving legal team immediately went to court, filing an emergency motion to grant dad temporary sole custody, based on the mother’s multiple baseless claims of abuse, which very well could have gotten dad arrested and thrown in jail.
Once they presented the facts to the court – that dad was the victim of unfounded allegations of child abuse – the court granted the Leving legal team’s motion. They won. Dad now has sole custody of his son, this craziness is over, and dad and son can live their lives in peace.
This victory, modified for broadcast, is a great relief for Dad and his son. What they went through was difficult and devastating but the Leving legal team won for them and kept them together. They saved their relationship and their futures.
