Lyons officials will join St. Baldrick’s “Fight Childhood Cancer” event Sunday March 24

The St. Baldrick’s “Fight Childhood Cancer” event will be held on Sunday March 24, 2024.  

This annual event is organized by the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce in Chicago at at Firewater Saloon, 6689 N Oliphant in Chicago. 

A performance of the Chicago Garda Pipes and Drums, comprised of law-enforcement members from Chicago land area, will be featured during this event which is being held to raise funds in honor of St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Celebrities, community leaders and public figures have their heads shaved at the event to promote public awareness for childhood cancer. Individuals including children who undergo cancer treatment often experience hair loss.

“This event every year boosts the morale of those fighting cancer and helps give them the strength to survive,” Amanda Harres President of Edison Park Chamber of Commerce.

 

“The Edison Park Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a part of it every year and by the outpouring of support we receive from officials and the public.”

The event will take place Sunday beginning at 1 PM until 4 PM.
