Orland Park Sportsplex Annual Family Health Fair Returns March 23

The Village of Orland Park Recreation Department will hold its annual Family Health Fair on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Village of Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 West 159th Street.

Topics will address the fitness needs of the entire family. The event is free and open to all ages.

“This event is a great opportunity for families to attend a fitness event together and to emphasize the benefits of staying healthy,” said Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau.

“There is something for everyone at the Sportplex’s popular annual event.”

The Village of Orland Park Recreation Department will hold its annual Family Health Fair on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Village of Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 West 159th Street.

The fair will offer free screenings and information on a variety of health issues including blood pressure screening, obesity screening, food allergy screening, police and fire safety information, nutrition counseling, free aerobics classes, injury screening, organ donation information, running club interest and running shoe information, CPR information table and more.

 

Children in attendance will be treated to an obstacle course, soccer dribble, a mini hoop shoot and more. The Sportsplex T-Rex will make an appearance at the event as well.

“An important part of staying healthy is to be screened for potentially dangerous conditions,” said Deborah Geghen, Fitness Manager for the Village of Orland Park Sportsplex.

The Village of Orland Park Recreation Department will hold its annual Family Health Fair on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Village of Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 West 159th Street.

“Great fitness habits, healthy eating and lifestyle habits should start at a young age. We believe if the family can support each other and help each other to stay healthy, it makes for an easier and fulfilling life,” she added.
