RoseMarie Lipinski Foundation offers 2023 scholarship for women to attend college
The RoseMarie Lipinski Foundation is offering a $10,000 scholarship to a woman who is seeking to return to or start college, Foundation President William O. Lipinski announced this week.
Lipinski said the scholarship, which is named after his late wife and awarded to one recipient annually, is intended to help a mother with two children who are in elementary school or high school or both, to pursue a college degree.
“RoseMarie was very passionate about wanting to help women who wanted to go to college,” Lipinski said.
“After my wife passed away on July 11, 2021. I wanted to make her dream a reality to help other women to pursue a college education and to strengthen their careers.”
Lipinski said his wife RoseMarie had dedicated her life to raising and supporting her own family driven by the desire to empower women and to give them a voice in molding our nation in a positive and strong way.
“The scholarship will go a long way to helping a woman and mother who is in need of going to college and achieving Rosemarie’s dream,” Lipinski said.
The scholarship is awarded annually to one woman candidate who is selected by the Foundation’s board based on an essay the entrant must write about why they deserve to be the recipient of the scholarship.
The essays should be between 600 and 800 words and must be submitted to the Foundation accompanied by an application form.
The deadline to submit the essay is April 19, 2023.
