New restaurant and bar opens along Lake Michigan

SPECTACULAR LAKEFRONT VIEWS AND LATIN-AMERICAN INSPIRED FARE CREATE THE PERFECT SYMPHONY AT LÍRICA, CHICAGO’S HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED NEW RESTAURANT AND BAR CONCEPT. The Buzzed-About New Waterfront Restaurant and Patio Will Pair World-Class Views of Glimmering Lake Michigan and Latin American-Inspired Cuisine to Delight Locals and City Explorers Alike.

Look out from the sunlit dining room to breathtaking Lake Michigan, or step out onto the 150-seat patio and into the open air to experience the awe that is Lírica, Chicago’s chic new dining destination at 900 E. Grand Ave., opens Friday, March 26 as the first and only Latin-inspired venue on Navy Pier.

Drawing inspiration from more than a dozen South American countries and encouraging guests to embrace “Comiendo con Ritmo” or “eating with rhythm”, Lírica’s menu boasts only the best in fresh-cut fish from Salmon Asado to roasted meats including Costilla de Ternera and of course, plenty of delicious starters or “primeros,” such as Pulpo a la Plancha. Lírica will take the guest on a culinary tour of Latin America, boasting a combination of rich and rustic flavors and a vibrant atmosphere to create a colorful experience.

The playful, poetic menu influenced by Ibero-American cultures has been curated by esteemed industry veteran Chef Cesar Reyes (Offshore Chicago, Smith & Wollensky, Spruce, Park Grill, Chicago Firehouse) alongside acclaimed Chef Michael Shrader (Offshore Chicago, Gideon Sweet, Monnie Burke’s, Luxbar, Epic and The Nine Group). The savory Latin cuisine pairs well with Lírica’s creative cocktails, or “bebidas”. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, the breathtaking waterfront restaurant is developed and operated by Maverick Restaurants and will be accepting reservations for both indoor and outdoor dining as of March 23. Lírica will also play host to the most unforgettable of private events and weddings, with booking to become available soon on the restaurant’s website.

Elevated, yet approachable, the new concept will feature a convival atmosphere, from an expansive 22-seat bar perfect for enjoying chef-crafted “primeros” and an open kitchen concept to watch the rhythm in motion, to an outdoor patio perfect for basking in the incredible views. Floor to ceiling windows will illuminate the space and offer diners the perfect vantage point from each and table. For intimate affairs, Lírica offers a gorgeous private dining space, suitable for large events. Featuring a modern, open-kitchen concept, Lírica’s offerings will heavily feature fresh-cut fish and roasted meats, along with regional, seasonal vegetables to create a celebration on each plate. The Bar at Lírica will feature handcrafted “bebidas” drawing inspiration from various South American regions and a unique wine and beer selection drawn heavily from Spain and Portugal.
