Orland Township Helping Protect Residents During the Holidays
500 bags of PPE/cleaning supplies to be distributed at Dec. 22 drive-thru
Orland Township will hold a drive-thru to distribute bags of cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) to Township residents who are experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the office of Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.
The Township will have 500 bags packed with an assortment of items including masks, vinyl gloves, disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer. A tip sheet on proper sanitizing methods will also be included. Proof of residency is required.
“With the holidays approaching, we want to again assist residents who have been financially impacted by the pandemic,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “By providing residents with a bag of PPE and disinfecting supplies, we are giving them the means to be pro-active in the fight against COVID-19.”
The distribution will operate as a drive-thru. Residents must show identification with proof of residency and are asked to stay in their vehicles and wear a mask when interacting with Township personnel.
Orland Township’s PPE/cleaning supply distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last. Only one bag per address.
For more information, please call the Township at (708) 403-4222, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
