House Speaker Mike Madigan to keynote Arab American Democratic Club candidates brunch

The Arab American Democratic Club, Illinois’ largest and most responsive Democratic Arab political organization, is prod to host Illinois Speaker Michael J. Madigan as its keynote speaker at its annual Feb. 16, 2020 Candidates Forum and Brunch. Get info at www.AADCIL.com

The Arab American Democratic Club (AADC) is proud to announce that it will host Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan at its annual candidate’s brunch which will be held on Feb. 16, 2020 at Niko’s Restaurant in Bridgeview.

Madigan is one of the state’s most successful and powerful Democratic legislators and the architect of the Democratic takeover of the State of Illinois.

Under Madigan’s leadership, the Democratic Party has become stronger and more effective in Illinois, sweeping the statewide elections last year.

“Speaker Madigan is a role model for anyone who supports Democracy and public service to the taxpayers,” said AADC Executive Director Samir Khalil.

“We’re very excited that the Speaker will be our keynote speaker. It is a testament to his commitment not only to the best interests of the people of Illinois but also a strong advocate of equality and support for Arab Americans.”

The AADC Annual Candidates Forum and Brunch is one of the premiere gatherings of political leaders in Illinois and members of the Arab American community.

“We are proud to be American and we are proud to be Democrats,” Khalil said. “This is a crucial year as we round the corner to the presidential elections. Sending a Democrat back to the White House in November 2020 is important. For now, we are focused on selecting the best qualified candidates to represent the Democratic Party in the March 17 Democratic Primary election.”

The AADC Annual Candidates Forum and Brunch will be held at Niko’s Restaurant, 7600 S. Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview from 10 AM until 1 PM on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020.

Individual tickets are $50 each, Tables of 10 for organizations are $500.

“This is an opportunity for elected officials and Democratic candidates to share their vision with a growing and important constituency in Illinois and Cook County. It is also a great opportunity for members of the Arab American community to meet with the people who represent us or who are seeking to represent us on the Democratic ticket in the March Democratic Primary and in the November General election,” Khalil said.

The Candidates forum is open to all Democratic candidates running in the March 17, 2020 election, and also to all elected officials regardless of party affiliation.

“We are a Democratic organization, but we respect and work with all of our elected officials in government in order to ensure that Arab Americans continue to play an important role in the communities where we live,” Khalil said.

Also, consider purchasing a Full Page Ad to promote your candidacy, or your organization for $200.

For tickets or more information, contact Samir Khalil by telephone at 773-719-3331 or by email at [email protected].  Visit the AADC’s website at www.AADCIL.com.
