Murder charges filed for suspect described as armed and dangerous in Lyons murder
Arrest warrant issued for Brian Cruz in Lyons homicide. Murder charges filed in killing of Paresh Jhobalia, 62, Lyons resident reported missing by his family on Nov. 10. The victim’s body was discovered on Saturday Nov. 17
Lyons Police working with the Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT) have issued an arrest warrant for Brian Cruz, the suspect in the murder of a man discovered in his vehicle Nov. 17.
Lyons Police Chief James Keating said that the public should consider Cruz to be armed and dangerous and if spotted should contact 911 immediately.
Cruz is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds with black hair and Brown eyes. He was last seen in the western suburbs.
Cruz is wanted in the murder of Paresh Jhobalia, 62, who was originally reported missing by his family on November 10, 2018. On Saturday, Nov. 17, police obtained an arrest warrant to search the victim’s car which was parked near his Lyons home near 44th and Prescott Avenue. The victim’s body was discovered during the vehicle search at around 11 am on Saturday and immediately declared a homicide.
