Orland Park apartment fire Saturday morning, no injuries

Orland Fire Protection District, IL — At 5:40 AM on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, units of the Orland Fire Protection District responded to a fire located at a two-story apartment building on the 15200 block of El Camino Terrace in Orland Park.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported smoke showing from the eaves of on the northside of the building.

Firefighters who entered the north apartment on the second floor were quickly faced with heat and fire from the kitchen area, which was quickly extinguished.

The fire was restricted to the one unit, fire officials reported.

Other OFPD companies arriving on the scene cleared the fire unit and the other units in the building, assuring no one was inside the building at the time of the fire.

Other companies that assisted on the scene were Engine 2, Engine 5, Truck 4, Ambulance 3, Ambulance 4, Ambulance 5, and Palos Truck 9.

Supporting were companies from the Tinley and Palos Fire Departments, which were returned once the fire was extinguished.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
