Fire damages several apartments in Orland Park, no injuries
An apartment on the second floor of a 6-unit condominium building at the 15300 block of Treetop Drive in Orland Park was seriously damaged by fire on Saturday morning, Feb. 1, 2025.
The Orland Fire Protection District responded to the fire which was reported at 11:30 AM and quickly brought it under control.
There were no injuries, OFPD officials said Saturday. Several other units sustained smoke and water damage.
Upon arrival, crews located the fire in a second-floor unit, deployed hose lines, and quickly brought the fire under control while simultaneously searching and helping evacuate residents from the other unaffected units.

The alarm was upgraded to bring other departments to the scene for assistance and provide coverage to areas of the Fire District where Station Crews had been deployed to the fire.
The fire was contained to the affected unit.
Firefighters rescued two cats from the apartment fire.
The cause and origin of this fire is currently under investigation.
The Orland Fire Protection District was assisted in responding to the fire by Firefighters from Lemont, Palos, Tinley, Homer, Frankfort, and Lockport.
