Orland Township Hosting Medical Supply Drive for Ukraine

In partnership with Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Orland Township will be holding a medical supplies drive for Ukraine at the end of April.

With the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Orland Township has partnered with Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, located at 8410 W. 131st Street in Palos Park, to provide critically needed medical supplies to the millions of local civilians involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The war has caused far-reaching humanitarian consequences for Ukrainians, like lost livelihoods and reduced access to basic needs, including that of emergency medical attention due to attacks on healthcare facilities and warehouses near conflict zones.

Orland Township’s partnership with Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church hopes to increase access to medical services to both residents in conflict-affected areas and those on the frontlines.
