Libreria Cristiana Vida Nueva announces their Grand Re-Opening and Expansion Open House
“After almost 30 years of serving Chicago and for nearly 14 years in Belmont Cragin, this new chapter represents growth, faith, and gratitude.
What began as a small Christian bookstore has continued to expand through God’s grace and the support of our community.
As we move into a larger space with parking and improved accessibility, our mission remains the same: to share hope through God’s Word and provide a place where individuals and families can be strengthened in their faith”, said Gregorio Gallegos, the owner.
“In addition, we host manny meetings in our Community Room that is used monthly by many Pastors Associations, Churches and community groups who also needed more space”, he continued.

“We will continue to offer Bibles, books, devotionals, gifts, church resources, and educational materials for all ages and ministries. More than a bookstore, we desire to be a place of encouragement, peace, and spiritual renewal for everyone who walks through our doors”, he said.
“This business has become an important part of our community”, said Pastor Dr. Shando Valdez, Pastor of New Jeruselem Baptist Church.
“Pastors of many Churches throughout Chicagoland gather there monthly for Pastoral meetings and community discussions. It has become an important venue for church leaders”, he said.
“In a time when many families in Chicago and surrounding communities are facing challenges and uncertainty, we pray that this space will stand as a beacon of hope and light. Their desire is to serve the community with love, faith, and compassion-pointing hearts toward encouragement and restoration”, he said.
In addition to thousands of volumes of books in both Spanish and English, the store is a popular venue for small gifts, candles, posters and even necessary church supplies such as communion supplies. A truly unique and rewarding destination!
The grand opening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the honor of having Alderman Felix Cardona, Jr. in attendance, along with giveaways, refreshments, and activities for children.
