A father’s fight to save his bond with his son
By Laura Reichel
When a father begins to lose connection with his child, every moment apart feels unbearable. A devoted dad turned to attorney Jeffery M. Leving to repair his relationship with his son.
He and the child’s mother were never married but continued living under the same roof, and the tension in the household had reached a breaking point.
Even worse, dad’s relationship with his child was deteriorating and dad feared losing his son forever.
The Leving legal team fought for them and won, securing for dad the court ordered parenting time he desperately needed and so much more.
Chicago based matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., will talk about this important court victory on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CST Saturday, February 7th on Power 92.3 FM. This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour’s Spotify page on dadsrights.com. Dad was doing everything he could to keep their home stable. He paid nearly all the bills often at great personal sacrifice. Yet despite his efforts, the mother demanded that he provide her with cash payments each month beyond what he was already covering. It appeared to be too much to bear, both financially and emotionally. Dad’s true wish wasn’t about money, it was about being a loving, involved parent to his son.
Tired of the conflict and desperate to preserve his relationship with his child, dad called attorney Leving for help.
The Leving legal team immediately went to court and fiercely fought on dad’s behalf. Thanks to their hard work and strategic litigation, they achieved a powerful victory. The judge ruled that dad would not be required to provide cash payments to the mother. Most importantly, dad finally received parenting time with his son—opening the door to reunite and rebuild the priceless bond between father and child.
This court victory modified for publication stands as an example of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd.’s unwavering mission: to fight for fathers, protect children, and strengthen families. Every child deserves the love, guidance, and presence of their dad and because of the Leving legal team’s dedication, this father now has a chance.
On another note, February marks the beginning of Black History Month—a time to honor the extraordinary contributions of African Americans throughout our nation’s history. Attorney Jeffery Leving will be highlighting many important and historical figures from Black History on his radio broadcast every Saturday of this month. This week’s spotlight is on Carter G. Woodson, the founder of Black History Month and a man whose legacy is deeply connected to Chicago. The regional library at 95th and Halsted Street proudly is named in his honor. Attorney Leving has had the privilege of lecturing on fathers’ rights at this historically significant library.
