Disabled Dad United with Daughter for First Christmas Together

The time a father shares with his children is a precious gift. Yet, for too many fathers, that gift is taken away — leaving them isolated from their children.
In one of the most moving victories the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. has ever achieved, a case that turned deep heartbreak into lasting joy, a disabled father who reported he had been denied contact with his own daughter sought their help.

A single father was the victim of a horrific shooting and was permanently disabled and paralyzed from the waist down. Following years of hard work and rehabilitation, and despite making significant physical strides, he reported he was still prevented from seeing his own daughter.
He had nearly given up all hope, but he never stopped loving her. He and his child’s mother split up years prior, and even though he had always paid child support, he recounted that the mother refused to let him see his child and thwarted his daughter’s efforts to contact him too.
He finally found the fire in his belly to take action to reunite with his daughter. He called attorney Jeffery Leving for help. The Leving legal team was determined to secure this disabled dad’s parental rights in court. When they presented the case to the judge, using a powerful mix of evidence and emotion, the Leving legal team convinced him that depriving this loving father of time with his daughter was unfair and unconscionable. They won. The judge awarded dad, for the first time ever, Christmas with his daughter.
