FIRE UPDATE: Fire District releases photos of kitten saved from Orland Park apartment fire Saturday
Orland Fire Protection District, IL – Firefighters with the Orland Fire Protection District who responded to a fire in an apartment at the 15200 block of El Camino Terrace on Saturday morning said the next day that they did find a kitten that needed respiratory aid, which they saved.
The fire in an apartment on the building’s northwest corner was extinguished after causing serious damage to the kitchen area. Firefighters reported smoke showing from the eaves on the north side of the building.
Firefighters reported that no one was injured.
But on Sunday, firefighters disclosed they did find a kitten in the apartment that needed respiratory assistance, and immediate aid was given, helping the kitten to overcome breathing issues before returning it healthy to the apartment owners.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
