By Laura Reichel
CHICAGO – The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will host the next presentation of the Arthur S. Kallow Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar Series on October 15th at 6:30 p.m. CDT at 225 W. Wacker Drive in Chicago.
The keynote CLE speakers, prominent family law attorneys Anthony D’Agostino and Lawrence Starkopf, will lecture on essential issues central to the successful practice of family law. Attorney Anthony D’Agostino will present on winning strategies to tackle clients’ legal issues to best represent them and meet their goals in and out of court. Attorney Lawrence Starkopf will focus on recent case law updates in Illinois family law.
Attorney Anthony D’Agostino will explore effective methods for building trust and understanding with clients, as well as strategies to improve attorney-client communication. In the emotionally charged realm of family law, it is crucial that empathy and professionalism coexist to ensure clients feel heard, represented, and supported throughout their legal journey.
Attorney D’Agostino is a distinguished matrimonial and family law litigator known for his skill in complex custody, parenting time, divorce, and high-conflict family law cases. He recently litigated and won a pivotal paternity case that reunited a loving father with his 12-year-old daughter and secured court orders protecting their custody.
Attorney Lawrence Starkop’s presentation will analyze significant case law updates that influence key areas such as child custody, support, property division, and more. This presentation will provide attorneys with clear insight into emerging legal trends and their practical implications in day-to-day practice.
Attorney Starkopf is an eminent attorney known for his incisive legal reasoning and steadfast dedication to achieving favorable results in complex family law cases. He litigated the trial and the appeal to the Supreme Court of Illinois of the critical case that defined how courts distinguish between marital and non-marital assets, with the issues of contribution, dissipation, transmutation and valuation. This defined the practice of matrimonial law in the state of Illinois.
“These presentations can provide attorneys with both the interpersonal and analytical skills needed to best represent clients and their children in high stakes and emotionally charged family law cases,” said Jeffery M. Leving, founder and president of the firm who will facilitate the seminar. “Attorney D’Agostino and attorney Starkopf bring not only experience but depth and perspective to issues that are most important in family law litigation.”
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
