Leving team wins court victory for Dad and his little girl
CHICAGO- Dad has been struggling to stay in his 7-year-old daughter’s life after a difficult divorce. Dad, despite his strained relationship with his ex-wife, has always been a loving and dedicated father to his daughter.
Suddenly, Dad found himself being denied all contact with his daughter and accused of failing to pay child support. He feared incarceration and losing his daughter.
Attorney Jeffery Leving, founder and president of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. in Chicago will talk about this father’s case on his weekly radio show, the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CST Saturday, March 2, on Power 92.3 FM in Chicago.
Dad was distraught. He struggled to maintain a loving relationship with his daughter and to stay involved in her life. He was terrified of being thrown in jail and he didn’t want to lose his daughter.
Dad called the Leving firm for help and they fought for him and won.
The judge reinstated Dad’s parenting time. No jail for Dad and he was reunited with his little girl.
“This was an important victory, modified for broadcast,” Leving says,
“It was also crucial to get Dad’s name cleared as well as protecting his relationship with his daughter and keeping him out of jail. Jail is always a risk in a child support arrearage case, and we secured our client’s victory. Dad is happily reunited with his daughter, securing the bond that could have been severed forever. This was a difficult case, but we won. I am deeply relieved for this Dad and his daughter.
