Mayor Chris Getty and Village officials celebrate opening of Strive Fitness

Village representatives, led by Mayor Chris Getty, met at 7905 Ogden Avenue on Friday Sept. 1 for the grand opening of Strive Fitness.

Strive is a family-owned and operated fitness company that operates out of 3 studio locations including Riverside, La Grange Park, and Lyons.

The Lyons studio is the largest of their locations with roughly 5,000 square feet of workout space.

Strive opened its first location in 2016 and since has helped over one thousand people improve their health & fitness levels.

They offer a variety of classes for people of all fitness levels and offer free class demos for those interested in becoming a member.

The business is led by Shawn Groll, who grew up on Konrad Avenue in Lyons, and his wife Victoria.

“It’s great to see someone who grew up in Lyons opening a business with a mission to improve the lives of others,” said Mayor Chris Getty.

“I believe that a healthy community is a thriving community and providing people with more opportunities to embrace their health and fitness will lead to a stronger, more united Lyons.”
