Photo, Military Profile: Chicagoan aboard the USS Sergipo Gonzalez
Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Sergio Medina, from Chicago, Ill., sends signals to the Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195) aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gonzalez (DDG 66).
Gonzalez is underway conducting composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 12.
The components of CSG 12 embody a “team-of-teams” concept, combining advanced surface, air, and systems assets to create and sustain operational capability.
This enables them to prepare for and conduct global operations, have effective and lasting command and control, and demonstrate dedication and commitment to becoming the strongest war fighting force for the Navy and for the nation.

"I write about three topics, the Middle East, politics and life in general. I often take my life experiences and offer them in an entertaining way to readers, and I take on the toughest topics like the Israel-Palestine conflict and don't pull any punches about what I feel is fair. But, my priority is always about writing the good story."
