Orland Vets host Care Package Collection Nov. 4
The Orland Park Veteran’s Commission hosted a “Care Package Collection” event for current U.S. Military Personnel. In addition to the Village of Orland Park Veterans Commission, the event was co-sponsored by Stone Church, Park View Christian Church, and Kruse’s Krew.
Veteran’s Commission Director Tom Dubelbeis explained it costs nearly $20 to send each care package to military veterans.
The event was held on Sunday Nov. 4 at the Orland Park Veterans Center, 15045 West Avenue (four blocks west of LaGrange Road).
Monetary donations were also accepted to cover the cost of postage, in addition to a wide range of products and needed items.
