Black Chamber hosts 12th Annual Convention August 9 – 10

ILLINOIS BLACK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOST 12TH ANNUAL CONVENTION IN EAST PEORIA, ILLINOIS

 WHO: Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce 

WHAT: 12th Annual State Convention

WHEN: ​Wednesday and Thursday, August 9-10, 2017

Paradice Hotel & Casino, 21 Blackjack Blvd,

East Peoria, IL 61611

WHY:

The Illinois State Black Chamber of Commerce is the largest Black trade organization in the state of Illinois and is well know for its work in building and supporting the thousands of black owned businesses throughout the state. This year’s dynamic Convention will include  “Matchmakers”, one-on-one meetings with the key decision makers for Procurement in some of the top Companies in the country and some of the top agencies in the State.

The Convention also includes a Construction Opportunity Fair August 9th from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PMwith the Chicago Housing Authority,  the Peoria Housing Authority; the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield, Peoria District 150, the Decatur Public Schools, and Champaign District 4 Schools.

Then meet with the Casinos from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM and find out how to do business with the Illinois Casino Gaming Association, the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino, Rivers Casino, Hollywood Casino Aurora, Harrah’s Joliet, Harrah’s Metropolis, the Casino Queen, Hollywood Casino Joliet, Jumer’s Casino & Hotel, the Grand Victoria Casino Elgin, Penn National Gaming, Inc., and Caesars Entertainment, Inc.

On Thursday, August 10th, Participate in a panel discussion on how to do business with the various state agencies with billions of dollars of procurement opportunities across the state.  Learn how to “Open the Door” to these  opportunities with the Illinois Tollway, the Illinois Department of Transportation (invited), Central Management Services, the Capital Development Board,  the City of Chicago – Procurement Services, and Cook County Office of Procurement. Participate in a panel discussion on how to do business with the various state agencies with billions of dollars of procurement opportunities across the state.  Learn how to “Open the Door” to these  opportunities with the Illinois Tollway, the Illinois Department of Transportation (invited), Central Management Services, the Capital Development Board,  the City of Chicago – Procurement Services, and Cook County Office of Procurement.

Our “Democratic Gubernatorial Informational Candidate Forum” will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM. All Gubernatorial Candidates have been invited to attend.

Join us at our Awards Ceremony, with Keynote Speaker, Blacklist Actor, Harry Lennix on Thursday Evening beginning at 6:30pm.
