Bridgeview driver charged in motorcyclist’s death
Early morning about 5 AM on July 2, there was an accident involving a motor cycle and a car at about 7229 S Roberts Road.
The motorcycle was going north bound and the vehicle was making a left into the driveway at 7229 S Roberts Road.
Preliminary info that is available is that the motorcycle was going at a high rate of speed when it made contact with the car.
The cyclist died of his injuries. He was identified as Jose Manuel Perez Sanchez, 24, years old from Blue Island Illinois.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Jesus Solis, 45, from the 7200 block of Roberts Road in Bridgeview. Solis is charged, according to Bridgeview Police, with 1 count of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence Causing Death. Mr. Solis will be in bond court this morning Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at 26th St/California.
The traffic crash was investigated by the Bridgeview Police Department with the assistance from the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team. After reviewing the facts of the case, the Cook County States Attorneys Office approved 1 count of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence Causing Death.
