Leving Team Won a Little Boy’s Safe Return Home

There are few things that are more heartbreaking for a father than losing his child and feeling powerless to protect him.
For this dad, that nightmare became real after the mother of his two-year-old son absconded with the boy out of Illinois and to Texas, leaving dad devastated. Desperate to bring his son back home, dad immediately called attorney Jeffery M. Leving for help.
The Leving team fought for him and won.

Dad was gravely concerned about his son’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being, especially after he heard that the house his son was kept in included people with a reported history of domestic violence and criminal activity.
Dad immediately retained the Leving litigation team and they fiercely litigated the case to victory.
Leving immediately filed and argued an emergency petition for the little boy’s return to his father in Illinois. They presented their concerns before the court and made it clear that this was not just a dispute over custody — it was a matter of urgency as the risk to the child’s health, safety, and future was too great to ignore. The judge agreed with their arguments. He ordered the boy be returned to his father and that if the mother refused to comply, dad could enlist the help of law enforcement to retrieve his son. Furthermore, the judge granted dad custody, giving the little boy the protection and stability he so desperately needed.
This court victory modified for publication was a powerful and emotional victory for this father. He refused to give up fighting for his son. Dad put his faith in the Leving team and now his son will have the chance for a better future. It’s a reminder that when a child’s safety is at risk, every moment matters and that every child deserves the protection, love, and security of a parent who will never give up on them.
