Fatal Four-Vehicle Crash Closes Lagrange Road for Several Hours
A fatal four-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the area of 149th street and Lagrange Road today resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries on Monday morning, June 29, 2026.
Orland emergency crews responded to the scene and found four vehicles involved, with three sustaining heavy damage.
One individual suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three additional patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were treated on scene prior to being transported to area hospitals.
First responders were assisted with additional resources from Palos to work along side Orland companies in treatment and transport.
Lagrange Road remained closed for several hours afterwards, causing significant traffic delays and impacting commuters throughout the area. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Orland Police
The Orland Fire Protection District extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of the individual who lost their life and wishes a full recovery to the others injured in this incident.
