Court Victory: A Chicago Dad’s Fight to Reunite with His Son

A Chicago father’s worst fear came true. Out of the blue, the mother of his child disappeared with his son—no notice, no goodbye, no trace of where they were.
Terrified that she had left Illinois and determined not to lose his child forever, this devoted father turned to attorney Jeffery M. Leving for help.
He simply wanted his little boy back in his life, where he belonged, and where he knew he would be safe.
The Leving legal team fought for them and won, securing a court order for the child’s return to Illinois, reuniting father and son, and securing parenting time for dad.

Dad and the mother were never married but lived in the same home. When the mother disappeared with his son, dad became frantic. He immediately turned to attorney Leving for help in securing his son’s safe return.
The Leving legal team argued that dad has always been a constant, loving presence in his son’s life and that separating the little boy from his dad could have devastating consequences. Furthermore, the mother’s actions reportedly endangered the child’s well-being. Thanks to the Leving legal team’s relentless advocacy, the judge ordered the mother to return to Illinois with the little boy, barred the mother from removing the child from the state, and granted dad generous parenting time and regular phone contact on days he doesn’t see his son. These orders ensure that dad will never again be cut out of his son’s life.
