Lipinski and Hanania analyze Vance-Walz VP Debate in video podcast

The vice presidential debate between Ohio Senator J.D. Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Tuesday October 1, 2024 reminded people of a long past era in American politics where civility in discussion of issues overshadowed personal attacks that have polarized America pushing the country towards two extremes.

Chicago Columnist Ray Hanania and former Congressman Bill Lipinski discuss the debate during their weekly podcast, “Two Guys on Politics” on Wednesday October 2, 2024.

10-02-24 S3 E30 The Debate between Vice Presidents, JD Vance and Tim Walz

Co-Hosts Ray Hanania joins former Congressman Bill Lipinski on two guys on politics to discuss the debate between Vice Presidents, Ohio US Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz that took place on Tuesday night, Oct. 1, 2024.

Lipinski Hanania podcast Oct 2 2024 on the Vice Presidential Debates between J.D. Vance and Tim Walz.

Podcast co-Hosts Lipinski and Hanania discuss the contrasts between the Vice Presidential candidates and the sharp contrast with the Presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

Vance and Walz, for all their difference projected a civility that has been missing in American politics for more than 20 years, and that continues to worsen creating a divide, a polarized nation driven by anger, hate and personal attacks.

Vance and Walz actually discussed the substance of issues and rarely segued into personal attacks which is a refreshing and needed relief. Of course, the news media continued to play their favorites, favoring Walz over Vance and the media continues to be the cancer that is driving the destruction of our political system.

Hanania observes that the mainstream news media is the cancer in American society that is fueling the hatred, polarization and destroying the foundations of principled and objective journalism.

Lipinski and Hanania discuss the successful issues addressed and the issues that Vance and Wlz failed to address fully, such as the January 6 protests and how candidates define Abortion.

Bill Lipinski served as Democratic Committeeman/Alderman of Chicago’s 23rd Ward. Lipinski was elected to Congress in 1983 and served through 2005. He currently writes the “Right from the Center” opinion column at BillLipinski.com
