Local restaurants and amateur cooks invited to compete in Frankfort Fire & Ice Winter Social Chili Cook-off

The Village of Frankfort is inviting chili enthusiasts and local restaurants to turn up the heat this winter at the Fire & Ice Winter Social Chili Cook-Off, taking place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Breidert Green.

Local cooks will showcase their best chili recipes, serve samples to event attendees, and compete for top honors in this fun, community-centered event. Participants will compete in one of two divisions:

  • Restaurant Division – Open to local restaurants, bars, and professional food establishments
  • Amateur Division – Open to non-professional chili enthusiasts—the popular amateur competition is back!

Event attendees will have the opportunity to sample chili from participating cooks and vote for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded in each division.

“This event is a great way to bring our community together during the winter months,” said Mayor Keith Ogle. “We’re especially excited to bring back the amateur competition, which has always been a favorite and showcases the creativity of our residents alongside our local restaurants.”

Participation is free, but space is limited. Interested cooks must REGISTER BY JANUARY 17, 2026. Additional details and registration information can be found at www.frankfortil.org.
