Leaving team saved dad’s future and his bond with his son

By Laura Reichel

A Chicago father was faced with the most difficult period of his life following his divorce. Dad was horrified when he realized that he was ordered to pay an exorbitant amount of child support — far more than he could ever pay.

Even worse, he feared that if he fell behind, he might not only lose his son but his freedom too. Frustrated and terrified, dad called attorney Jeffery Leving for help in protecting his bond with his child and protecting his own future and liberty.

Chicago matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this important case victory and more on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, August 9th on Power 92.3 FM.

This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour Spotify page on dadsrights.com. Listen to this radio show and keep hope alive by sharing this victory and connecting on Instagram @dadsrights.

While dad’s relationship with the child’s mother had broken down, dad’s bond with his nine-year-old son remained loving and irreplaceable. Upon learning that he was expected to pay an impossible amount in child support, an amount he knew he didn’t have, dad feared losing his son and being incarcerated for failure to pay.

Terrified of losing that connection and his freedom, dad reached out to attorney Jeffery Leving for help. Attorney Leving assured the anxious father that the Leving legal team would fiercely fight to protect his bond with his child, his rights, and his future.

The Leving team took his case to court and strongly argued that dad’s child support order should be reduced to a fair, realistic amount that he could pay. The judge agreed and greatly reduced dad’s child support and even granted him significant parenting time with his son.

This important victory modified for publication protected a loving father from losing both his child and his future. Now, dad can provide for his son without fear of financial ruin and losing him.

Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States in recognition of 7,500 hours of service to this nation. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
