Orland Township Activity Center to Host February Events

Orland Township Activity Center will finally be operating at its fullest extent starting in February.

The Orland Township Activity Center is planned to resume its operations to the fullest extent starting in February.

The announcement comes just two weeks after the Orland Township Activity Center decided to take precautionary measures and temporarily operate under limited use to the public during the most recent COVID-19 spike in January; a choice made with much thought and consideration for the health and welfare of residents.

“We take every necessary precaution to ensure the safety of our community, especially for our senior residents.” Said Supervisor Paul O’Grady.

“But we’re ecstatic to finally be able to welcome them back for some more fun in February, including Senior Drop-In.”

Drop-In will resume on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and will take place at the Orland Township Senior Activity Center. Residents MUST pre-register and are limited to attending one Drop-In per week.

Additionally, residents will be able to attend the Township’s annual February Luncheon held on February 10. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy catering from Rocco Vino’s Italian Restaurant, and Blake Alexander will perform music from artists like Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, and more.

Tickets, which are $15, can be purchased for the event at Orland Township, 14807 S Ravinia Ave. Feel Fabulous February, the Township’s winter craft show, will be held at 6 p.m. on the same day, with a $5 donation collected at the door.

In accordance with the CCDPH Mitigation Order 2021-11, a valid photo ID along with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention vaccination card, photo of a vaccination card, digital record of a vaccination card or printed record of a vaccination card are required for entry.

Additionally, any individual aged two and older and able to medically tolerate a mask shall be required to wear a mask when indoors in a public place, regardless of vaccination status; except when eating or drinking while stationary.
