Live Arab Radio focusses on Secretary of State Blinken Middle East peace mission

On this week’s show, Ray Hanania interviewed Chris Hodges, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Assistance Coordination and Press and Public Diplomacy at the State Department’s Bureau for Near Eastern Affairs, on Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s trip to the Middle East. Secretary Blinken’s goal is to meet with the leaders involved in the Israel-Palestine Conflict and help ease tensions, so the current ceasefire stays permanent.

Ray then turned to Brad Roth, Professor of Political Science and Law and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Political Science at Wayne State University, to ask his opinion on the topic. They discussed that easing tensions should be the first step to solving this conflict, rather than the last, and focused on what a new approach could be.

In the second segment, Ray Hanania spoke with Ephrem Kossaify, an Arab News Correspondent at the United Nations, about the MEPC’s mention of his insights at the role Arab countries played in mitigating the Israel-Palestine Conflict.

Ephrem then went on to discuss the recent Emergency Security Council meeting and its impact as the first in person meeting after a year of virtual meetings. With 110 speakers, the meeting shed light on the significance of the conflict and reminded the world of the importance of Palestinian rights
