The Oath of Office was administered to each of the firefighters by Commissioner Jaber, and the families of the firefighters pinned their new badges during the ceremony.
Operations Chief Nicholas Tufts gave a little background on the qualities that will make Engineer Schultz and Lieutenant Petravich successful in their new roles. Lieutenant Tom Tonra of the Palos Fire Department delivered the conferment speech on behalf of Lieutenant Petravich.
“This was a great ceremony which recognized the hard work these gentlemen have done for the Orland Fire Protection District, which led to their promotions,” Jaber said.
