Our campaign has an incredibly important fundraising event this Sunday, January 26th at the Hilton Oak Lawn, less than a mile away from our office! Click here to RSVP today!
Let me be blunt: We need your support this Sunday. Running for federal office is extremely expensive and that’s why middle-class people like you and me often choose not to run for office.
Though we’ve raised over $800,000 since announcing our campaign last June, we need $50,000 more this Sunday alone if we want to have a chance of bringing our message to everyone across the 3rd District through our mail and television ads.
Our paid communications have been getting coverage in publications like Capitol Fax, and this momentum has carried over into the press. Yesterday, I attended a Chicago Sun-Times endorsement session, where a journalist took note of us coming out against the Extreme Team, Dan Lipinski and Marie Newman. In their article, the Sun-Times makes it clear that we are the voice of reason in this race.
Though voters are responding positively to our message, if we don’t have the money to get it out to as many people as possible, it won’t matter.
So please, join us Sunday evening at the Oak Lawn Hilton, especially if you’ve never come to one of our events before, or if we haven’t seen you since our June kickoff events.
If you can’t make it this Sunday, donate today! We can’t beat the Extreme Team without you.
